It’s that time again! The one day of the week where I share what’s got me reaching for the wine glass (or bottle) and what has me loving life. Join in if you want, Mr. Linky’s at the bottom. New friends and blogs always welcome.
The Wines for the week:
* The fact that my old cell phone carrier (ahem, TMobile) didn’t have service in my area and apparently according to my contract, they do not guarantee service no matter what and so I am going to have to pay a $200 Early Termination Fee. Lovely.
* I think I’m a storm magnet. Seriously. As I type this the storms are raging outside, crazy high-speed winds are whipping through the area and the windows are creaking. Also dislike that I’m really incapable of enjoying storms anymore.
* Tension headaches. All last weekend I had a terrible tension headache caused by spinal issues and, of course, external stressors. It’s finally gone, so I’ll take it.
* Dust. I dust every few days here and it still seems like every single time I turn around there is more dust present. What the heck?
* Bronchitis. Apparently I got that during the move? I’m better now but last weekend was rough. Really rough. I think I have a six-pack solely based on coughing up my lungs every night.
My Loves for the Week:
* Reading Ladder to the Moon to the girls on Sunday night, and oh my goodness they loved it! They talked about it on Wednesday night when they got to our house and asked to look at the pictures. Pretty sweet if you ask me. (And special thanks to the Clever Girls Collective for allowing me the opportunity to receive the book for free!)
* When Knight helps in the kitchen. He loves to throw some food on the grill leaving me to do the sides only. Fine by me!
* The girls gave me a new nickname: Rockstar Nora all because I could push them both on the swings at the same time. If that’s all I need for Rockstar status, I’ll take it.
* Verizon, for having amazing coverage in my area. And for making the sign-up process seamless. And for having the iPhone that rocks.
* Fresh sheets that smell all snuggly and feel warm. Nothing better to crawl into after a long day of work.
* Amazing blog friends, comments and emails when I need them the most.
* Spending Monday night sitting lakeside, people watching, writing in my journal, soaking up evening rays. And for finding an Aveda hair salon on my way back to my car. My hair is already thanking me.
* Working out and being sore. Love it. So much.

And have you read about Mister Linky's new features?

I can’t believe that you have to pay the early termination fee. That is terrible customer service on their part! So sorry, I know how expensive moving is, I know you do not need that extra expense. ;(
Love: Packing up my CFA books. Dear God, let me not have to unpack them. Ever.
Wine: I don’t think I am going to the cabin this weekend.
The weather forecast is looking pretty cool and I am a bit overwhelmed by all the packing I need to get done.
Rockstar Nora! SO CUTE!!! Also, I wish you could send the stormy weather my way. I’m probably one of the only people in the world who wishes for rain instead of sunshine!!!
Also, FEEL BETTER!!! I’ve been there and I hate.hate.hate coughing. The worst was that I was working a cashier job when I had mine and urgh. Nightmare city.
Have a fantastic day!!!
Workout sore is the absolute best kind of sore. It always makes me feel so strong! What have you been doing that makes you sore? A new routine?
I hope you start to feel better, honey. You would mind sending some of that rain my way? We need it so bad.
ROCKSTAR NORA!! That is awesome!
How lame about T-Mobile! When I went through the same thing (same provider!), I managed to find someone at a T-Mobile store who was willing to dig in and find a way to help me avoid paying the early termination fee, because I couldn’t get ANY service in my house, at my work, and hardly anything outside of any buildings in a 20 mile radius. I’ll cross my fingers that you can find someone as nice to help you!
Love – That I got to finally open the bottle of wine I bought the day before I found out I was pregnant!!!
Whine – My boobs seem to be attached to a certain cute little girl and it is very very hard to keep pushing through!
Girl tension headaches are no fun! I had one yesterday that seriously wouldn’t go away even after taking medicine. Uncool! This is my first time commenting after following for awhile. Love your positivity!
Eric has to pay the early termination fee too since he switched to Telus when we got our iPhones. BUT they are also trying to charge him $50 for his plan from April 28 – May 28. Umm, we got our iPhones April 20 so he didn’t even use his phone during that month!! But they keep saying it’s because they charge a month in advance. I DON’T CARE IF YOU CHARGE A MONTH IN ADVANCE WE’RE NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING WE DIDN’T USE!!!
Of course, Eric is much calmer than me and doesn’t want to make a big deal over “only $50″. Grrr.
OK, enough about the cell phone rant. Lol. My love for the week? Today is my Friday!
That sucks about the cell phone situation. Moving expenses are always greater than we expect them to be… sigh. Glad to hear you’re feeling better … hoping I’m feeling better by Saturday!!!!!
Oh, that cell phone situation really sucks. I mean, it’s not like you really had a choice in switching plans. They really should have worked with you on this one.
Love: Tomorrow is an in-service day at work which means NO KIDS and hanging out with my coworkers, decorating our classrooms. Not a bad day to be had.
Wine: My apartment place is getting a “makeover” and the color they painted our doors is ugly, ugly, ugly. Some kind of pastel blue? NOT a good color for an apartment door! My complex now looks cheap.
Oh, I’m so excited to find this gadget for my Uniquely Your City! Will make my life SO much easier. Also, I LOVE your Wine & Love idea – will have to work on my own post for tomorrow!
Your Monday night sounds divine.
I’m glad you got the phone thing figured out! That sucks that you have to pay a termination fee, though. Fresh sheets are definitely amazing, and I love your new nickname! Kids are so impressed by the simplest things.
ugh to tmobile, that just seems ridiculous. but yay to new books and sitting lakeside and being a rockstar to the kidlets. i mean of course they knew it already, it’s just nice to finally hear the name right?
BUMMER on the TMobile stuff, that stinks. Cell phone companies, like cable, suck. But I’m glad Knight helps in the kitchen, that is a keeper
Rockstar Nora is a pretty awesome nickname.
ALso, I’ve been spinning for two months and I love being sore the next day…because I know I got a proper workout the day before.
I suggest you Tweet your dissatisfaction with T-Mobile—they will get the message loud and clear….and I bet you get contacted within the day!
I too love people watching and lakeside vino. Who doesn’t? Will chug some Chianti tonight, for sure.
Peace and Out and keep sharing your thoughts!
I neeeeed to get on the working out bandwagon again. It is too easy to just say, I’ll do it tomorrow, and then realize 4 weeks have lapsed since you last moved your bum! I’m so glad you figured out how to switch to Verizon seamlessly, and you get the iPhone, but how dumb of t-mobile to charge so much to cancel! The reason you are cancelling is their fault!
Have a great weekend! Hope you relax and spend some lovey time with Knight and the girls!
You have always been a rockstar!
