Wine and Love

So you all seem to like the Intolerance and Love Posts and while I do too, I don’t love the name, so I’m switching it to Wine & Love. Why? Because it will now be a list of things that make me want to drink a glass (or a bottle) of wine and then of course the things I’m loving… so, here we go!

Things that make me want to have a glass (or a bottle) of wine:

* This may make me sound like a grumpy old woman, but all the Charlie Sheen talk. Yes, his twitter feed is funny and yes, he gives good sound bites but really? There is obviously something not right with him and I do wish he’d get help or that the people who love him would help. (End grumpy old woman rant.)

* Mother Nature and her ADD attitude toward the weather. 60 and sunny one day to cold and grey the next? Let’s get it together, shall we?

* There are not enough hours in the day for me to sleep lately/I’m having trouble sleeping. So obviously a glass/bottle of wine will help me sleep, right?

Things that I love this week:

* Waking up to text messages from Knight that are so sweet they put a smile on my face (which is a big deal cause I’m so not a morning person).

* Forgetting that I have certain pieces of clothing which means something new to wear to work which means I feel confident and happier during the work day.

* For all the crap that’s happened this week, there has been some great news, like my high school best friend is expecting her first child, my brother is coming home over spring break and I will be receiving some awesome looking boots to review for the blog.

* Jack and all his cuteness. He’s an adorable dog.

* Parenthood. I can’t get enough of that show.

* This song, thanks to both Bri and Mandy introducing me to her, as well as Parenthood:

* Connecting with new people across the blogosphere.

* 28 days until Seattle.

  1. i have the same wine list.

there really is something wrong with charlie sheen, where is his family? oh they are making PSA announcements and whatnot.

i’m tired of the weather :P i’m ready for spring – the real one not the tease

and i’ve been waking up at 1am and not being able to fall back asleep…boo

Your love list is awesome – so many good things :)

  2. I don’t get the Charlie Sheen thing. Granted, I haven’t actually read his twitter or seen any shows he’s been on. But really, I just don’t care. And, I don’t see why I should. It seems as though caring strangers just perpetuates the problem. And I want no part of that!

    Sorry, end rant.

I’ve really wanted to get into Parenthood but haven’t yet. I’m holding out for the first season to come out on Netflix and then I’ll start there.

  3. I’ve been so out of the internet loop that I didn’t know about Charlie Sheen until this morning–it does sound like he needs help, and fast.

This week I love that my pups are finally getting used to Hannah and we can have her on the floor without them flipping out with excitement now.

  4. I love Parenthood! I started watching this season and immediately got hooked. I love shows that you can pick up anywhere and feel like you have always watched them.

I agree about Charlie Sheen too. I don’t have cable and finally googled it Tuesday and it just made me sad. The poor guy is obviously going through tough times.

  5. I’m guilty of enjoyng Charlie’s tirade a bit too much, but it’s getting to the point where it’s just sad.

I need a bottle of wine because I’m still waiting to hear about this job I interviwed for and the suspense is killing.

And I love that I finally received my packaging supplies for the business! They look amazing and I can’t wait to package my clients’ goodies in them :)

  6. I haven’t watched this week’s Parenthood yet, but the past few episodes have been so ughhh (in a good way). Just the way Amber and Drew are with their father coming back into their life. My brother acted exactly as Drew and I acted exactly as Amber. Her little rant? That was me. Exactly. It’s so tough to watch because I know exactly how they’re feeling. (Well, the characters, at least.)

ANYWAY…wine? Charlie Sheen? Yeah. I don’t get it, either. If I hear one more person say, “Can’t is the cancer of happen,” I am GOING to SCREAM.

Love? Tomorrow is Friday. Which means Saturday is almost here, where I have no plans but to sleep until noon and finish my short story. Ahhh…

  7. Is it bad if I just want to drink wine all the time? ;) I don’t really get the Charlie Sheen thing either. Obviously he’s sick, and people are just being entertained by him without understanding the real issue. Haven’t watched parenthood, sounds like I need to check it out!

  8. yay seattle, yay seattle!

also, this week’s work has been wine worthy and not in a fun way, haha.

however other happy things include loving the book i read and tomorrow being a pay day and the sun is out, huzzah!

  9. This is a great idea Wine and Love :) I agree about the Charlie Sheen thing, especially because there are children involved it’s just kind of scary. Good thing there are lots of things to be happy about!

  10. Wine: Stress from work and all the g.d. finance exams I will be taking over the next 3 months.

Love: Fun emails from friends that brighten my day, dinners with girlfriends, the fact that I am 3 months from being eligible for a phone upgrade. iPhone, here I come. :)

  11. Oh my gosh I TOTALLY agree about the Charlie Sheen stuff. He’s a d-bag and I don’t get why people following him on twitter and continue to give him attention.

  12. I love this list and agree with many things on it. Charlie SHeen, yeah there is something wrong with him. But I can’t help it, I want to see more. That makes me awful. And I have not watched Parenthood yet, sounds like I need to!

  13. i’ve avoided the news about charlie sheen as much as possible, but nevertheless i’ve had the theme song to 2 and a half men stuck in my head for days!

  14. Morning texts from boyfriends are the best, definitely. I’m the same way – if you can make me smile when I haven’t even crawled out of bed yet, you’re doing something right.

I like the change of title. Not that I disliked the old title, but bringing wine into the picture made it that much better. :)
